The main yoga studio upstairs is lovingly referred to as the tree-house studio, as the large windows surrounding the room are flanked by large trees offering their lush green fresh energy. You can see the sun rise during the morning yoga classes facing the east, and the sun set during the evening classes at the opposite side. A fireplace on the side is lit to keep the winter days at bay outside.
The smaller studio downstairs is a warm and cosy double volume space, ideal for private instruction or small groups.
The interesting and diverse yoga teachers here at Harmony Yoga offers a rich variety of yoga styles and approaches. (See Class Description.) All the classes include an awareness between movement and breath. You are encouraged to connect with the level of yoga practice supportingyourindividual needs for your personal growth and wellbeing.
You have a choice between group and / or individual private classes. The direct and tangible benefits from a regular yoga practice is noticeable to everyone regardless of where you are in your life’s journey.
The best advice I could give anyone new to yoga is just show up. Don't over-think it, just do it. As yoga master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois once said, yoga is “99% practice and 1% theory.”
Your first few classes might be a bit confusing until you become familiar with the movements. I know that can seem daunting, but the whole point of yoga is to not have judgment toward yourself or the people around you.
